Panther Magic is a small cattery dedicated to breeding quality
litters of Savannahs then matching the kittens with owners who will
provide them with loving lifelong homes. To make sure our kittens
are placed in good homes we are willing to spend all the time
necessary before and after adoption to educate new owners about
these wonderful cats. All of our kittens are raised underfoot in our
home with dogs and other cats.

The Savannah cat is developed from the hybridization of a
Serval (Leptailulus Serval) with a domestic cat. At this time we
have the capability to breed F2 through F4 generation kittens.
WE
DO NOT BREED SERVALS OR F1 GENERATION
SAVANNAHS
. The goal of breeding Savannahs is to create a
beautifully unique domestic cat that resembles the Serval in
appearance. I do not breed any of my cats specifically for size.
Instead, I work to create cats that resemble the breed standard as
submitted to TICA. A Savannah is a very active and playful cat with
an amazing desire to explore everything life has to offer. They love
feathers and water with a passion. Male Savannahs are usually
sterile until the 5th generation (F5). Savannahs are available in
three standard colors: brown spotted, silver spotted and black
spotted. All three colors describe the ground color. Spotting should
be black or very dark brown. Occasionally kittens are born that are
non-standard color or pattern. We sell any non-standard kittens as
pets only.

The Serval ranges in size from 18-40 lbs. Their head and body
length is 24-36", and they are 18-24" tall at the shoulders. They
have a 10-17" tail which appears about 3/4 lenth when compared
to a domestic cat. Males are usually larger than females. Servals
can live up to 20 years in captivity. A Serval is an exotic cat and
does not make a good pet. They require a raw meat diet and
carefully balanced nutritional supplements. An outdoor cage is
required for housing them unless you want to cover your windows
with wire and have double entries to every door. Then you must be
willing to tolerate any destructive behaviors they will have. This is
among the many reasons the Savannah breed was developed.
